BASS LINES & TUFF TIMES
DEBUT SOLO EP, ANTICIPATED RELEASE IN LATE SPRING OF 2024

FEATURING WRITING, VOCAL & INSTRUMENTAL PERFORMANCES, AND PRODUCTION BY ANTHONY DAVV. RECORDED AND MIXED BY THIRD COAST RECORDING CO. COVER ARTWORK PHOTOGRAPHED BY MIGUEL BRIMMER

Bass Lines & Tuff Times is the story of an everyday guy going through the trials and tribulations necessary for personal growth & self-discovery. This 16-minute, conceptual demo displays Davv's production, songwriting and vocal talents.

The journey starts off with a nonchalant, abstract intro. The record keeps a steady, moody bass line throughout, which carries the listener through different rooms, and drops them into an energetic climax filled with a steady percussive groove. The groove then dissolves gracefully into a watery, atmospheric conclusion. This intro sets the theme of the project up, which, then leads listeners into an enjoyable EP. During the listening experience, you're filled in with groovy instrumentals accompanied by unapologetically confident and hopeful vocals, demonstrating Davv's sharp and interesting vocal register. Davv's genre defying music composition skills keep the EP's theme alive and strong with catchy hooks, and relatable themes. Playful bass melodies dance together throughout the project while Davv answers back with strong melodic flows that stitch perfectly with the percussion.

Bass Lines & Tuff Times will go down as one of Anthony Davv's most esteemed projects to date. Leaving listeners curious as to where he'll go next.

INTRO(75%)
"This singular instrumental started the foundation that bloomed to become this project. Before there were any other tracks on the EP, there was only this instrumental. I was indecisive about what I wanted to do, and what I wanted this to be. If it weren't for the creation of this instrumental, none of this would have happened the way it did."

IDK
"After seeing my ex-turned friend move on from me, I was destroyed. Not to mention I had also just got ghosted by a lover. I was super lonely and upset with myself because I felt like life was at a standstill for me. This turned into a frenzy of emotions for me. I needed to separate myself. This song was birthed from those feelings about the state of my life, my ex moving on, and being ghosted..."

OFF DAY
"Even though I was trying my best to keep it all together, life still was going on. I had work, I had a laundry list of things to do. I had to take care of myself, but all I could think about was the past. It sucked; ya know. I needed change. No one was coming to save me, so I had to figure out my $#!t fast. Everything I aspired to be was depending on a mindset shift."

CAPTAIN SAVE-A-HOOD
"I think I finally understood my problem with all of this, and the problem within myself. Now that I rediscovered that magic within me, I can't keep putting myself in these situationships. It's setting me back, and I'm also not doing the girls I'm dealing with justice either. The cycle ended with them."

"I figured that my test in life right now would be related to adapting to change, and finding strength in my struggle rather than beat myself up while life beats me up. No one wants to see that. We are all in this together, and I'd go crazy thinking that everything is out to get me and only me. This is the death of a cycle that came with many consequences, but I made it out alive with actual happiness."
